Novaroom Terms of Service

By installing Novaroom ("the App"), creating an account, or using it, you agree to these Terms and to the Novaroom Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These terms add to the Novawave website terms at https://novawave.llc/terms; if they conflict, these terms apply to Novaroom.
1. What Novaroom is
Novaroom is a Windows app where AI trainers (annotators, raters, prompt writers and the people who work with them) talk to each other. It has topic rooms, direct chats, small groups, profiles, file sharing, an optional Time Tracker, and planning tools for Leadership members.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older.
- You may have one account, for yourself. Do not share it or sign in as someone else.
- You must use an email address you control, because sign-in codes are sent to it.
3. Keep client work out of Novaroom
Most AI trainers work under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Do not post confidential client tasks, client data, screenshots of client tools, or anything else you are not allowed to share. You are responsible for what you post and for following the agreements you have with the companies you work for. Novawave may remove content that looks like a leak, and may suspend the account that posted it.
4. How to behave
You may not:
- harass, threaten, or bully anyone
- post spam, scams, malware, or sexual content involving minors
- impersonate another person or misstate your role
- post content you have no right to share, or that breaks the law
- try to get into accounts, chats, or data that are not yours, or interfere with the service
- copy, resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the App, except where the law allows this
Other people can block you and report your messages.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the messages, files, and profile details you post. You give Novawave permission to store, copy, and show that content to the people it is meant for (for example, the members of a room or chat), only so Novaroom can work. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for copies kept in reports (see the Privacy Policy) or where the law requires us to keep it.
6. Moderation and roles
- Novawave administrators review reports and may hide or delete a message, or suspend or delete an account that breaks these Terms.
- Administrators decide who can start new direct chats and groups, and who has the Leadership role.
- We may act without notice when there is a risk of harm, a leak, or a legal problem.
7. Time Tracker
The Time Tracker records when you are active or idle while Novaroom is open (see the Privacy Policy for exactly what it records). It is optional for most people and always on for Leadership members. Its totals are an estimate based on keyboard and mouse activity. They are not a timesheet, a payroll record, or proof of work, and Novawave does not guarantee they are complete or exact.
8. License
Novaroom is currently free. Novawave grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Novaroom on Windows devices you own or control, under these Terms.
9. Updates and startup
- Novaroom checks for new versions and offers to install them. Some features may stop working in older versions.
- By default, Novaroom starts when you sign in to Windows. You can turn this off in Settings › Startup.
- We may change, pause, or stop Novaroom or any feature. If we stop Novaroom entirely, we will try to tell you in the App first.
10. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.
11. Ownership
Novaroom, its name, logo and design belong to Novawave LLC.
12. Disclaimer
Novaroom is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that messages and files will never be lost. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted, so do not rely on Novaroom for secrets.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Novawave is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, work or business, including losses caused by content another user posts. Our total liability for any claim about Novaroom is limited to US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
14. Ending use
You may stop using Novaroom at any time by deleting your account in Profile and uninstalling the App. We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms. Sections 5 and 10 to 15 continue after your account ends.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Spokane County, Washington, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date and, for important changes, tell you in the App. Continuing to use Novaroom after changes take effect means you accept them.
