Novabox Terms of Service

By installing or using Novabox ("the App"), you agree to these Terms and to the Novabox Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These terms add to the Novawave website terms at https://novawave.llc/terms; if they conflict, these terms apply to Novabox.

1. What Novabox is

Novabox is a Windows app that lets you read, write and organize email from one or more Gmail accounts that you connect using Google sign-in. Novabox is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Google. Gmail is a trademark of Google LLC.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU and UK), and able to agree to these Terms. If you use Novabox for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms for it.

3. Your accounts and email

  • You may only connect email accounts that you own or are authorized to use.
  • You remain responsible for your Google accounts and must follow Google's terms when using them.
  • You are responsible for the emails you send through Novabox and for keeping your computer secure.
  • Novabox stores your mail on your computer. Novawave does not back it up; your messages remain stored in your Gmail account.

4. License

Novawave grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Novabox on Windows devices you own or control, under these Terms. You may not:

  • copy, resell, rent or redistribute the App
  • reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this
  • use it to send spam, phishing, malware, or unlawful or abusive content
  • use it to access accounts without permission, or to break Google's or anyone else's terms
  • interfere with or overload Google's services through the App

5. Free and Pro plans

  • Free: up to 2 connected accounts with core features.
  • Pro: unlimited accounts, plus extra features such as templates and scheduled send, sold as a monthly subscription of $5.
  • Purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by the Microsoft Store under Microsoft's terms. You can cancel a subscription anytime in your Microsoft account; it stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • We may change prices or features in the future, with notice before a change affects a subscription you already pay for.

6. Updates and availability

We may update Novabox to fix issues, add features, or follow changes in Google's or Microsoft's rules. Some features depend on Google's Gmail API; if Google changes or limits it, parts of Novabox may stop working, and we are not responsible for that.

7. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.

8. Ownership

Novabox, its name, logo and design belong to Novawave LLC. Your email and content remain yours.

9. Disclaimer

Novabox is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will never lose locally stored data.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Novawave is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim about Novabox is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Novabox in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

11. Ending use

You may stop using Novabox at any time by removing your accounts and uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your license if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Sections 7 to 12 continue after termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Spokane County, Washington, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date and, for important changes, tell you in the App. Continuing to use Novabox after changes take effect means you accept them.
